Glendale has a Post Office, shop and restaurant as well as being home to the Toy museum, one of Skye's many attractions whilst Dunvegan Castle is only a short drive away. For serious walkers/climbers, it is within easy reach of the Cuillin and the sea cliff climbs of Neist Point. There are also lots of easier walks nearby. For nature lovers, late May to early July is the time to come when the croft is awash with a huge variety of wild flowers, including stunning orchids, growing just outside the caravan. Whales and seals are regularly seen from Neist Point and Sea Eagles nest in various points around the cliffs. |
